In my last post I promised that I would share my personal story with you guys.
So, let me begin.. My fitness journey started about 2 years ago, at that time I was already eating healthy. I still went out with friends and I drank a lot of alcohol. Untill I went to the gym one day. A friend of my convinced me to go with her. I still had doubts , I played soccer when I was younger but after quitting that I hadn’t excercised for a long time. I walked every day for an hour with my mom but that was it.


Addiction

So, after that one time I slowly got addicted to the sport. In the beginning of my progress I did (as a lot of girls) a lot of cardio but I always did some weight training. Because I hadn’t excercised for a long time, I lost a lot of weight in the first period.

In the process I learned a lot about fitness. I learned that’s important to eat healthy because you can’t out train an unhealthy diet. I also learned that it is important to do weight training. A lot of girls don’t do this because they think they will get very muscular. That isn’t true! Our bodies aren’t build to get very muscular. I learned more about excercises and what’s effective for my body.

From the beginning of my journey my booty always had priority. I trained my arms, shoulders, back and chest every now and then but never really serious. That changed after I suffered from a knee injury. I realized that it’s also important to make my upper body stronger. Now a days I train 4 or 5 times a week. I train my legs and booty 2 times a week, my arms and shoulders 1 day and my back and chest 1 day. The 5th day I combine some of my favourite excercises. I try to train my abs every time in between sets. I don’t like to wait for another set haha!

I think that fitness is one of the best things that happened in my life. It’s not only the sport but the healthy lifestyle that comes with it. I feel so much better than 2 years ago, I have more energy and gained a lot of self confidence about my body. I lost a lot of kilos in the process but I don’t look at the number on the scale. I look in the mirror, numbers can’t tell you that you look good, you can see that for yourself.

Everyone has a different journey with ups and downs, it’s important that you stay focussed and never give up!!

Inspiration post

I wanted to inspire you guys with some fitness inspiration. I had a nice day, I did some homework and I just got back from a good workout. Yesterday I did some booty training and helped my friend to built her booty. Today I did some arm training, biceps and triceps. My booty has priority so I couldn’t help myself and did some hip trusts too.

Fitness is a way of life, I chose for this lifestyle two years ago and I never want to quit. It’s a long progress and it maybe will take years to accomplish your goals. But I can never say it enough: slow progress is still progress!!
In the next post I will tell you more about my fitness story. I keep it short for today, tonight I’m going to chill with my boyfriend!

Friday work out

Today I worked out with my boyfriend, we killed some legs today. And oh boy I felt my legs burning! Today I like to share you the excercises we did this morning:

– Romanian deadlifts: 3 x 12 reps
– Shrugs: 3 x 10 reps
– Ab rope pull: 3 x 15 reps
– Squats: 3 x 12 reps
– Calve raises: 3 x 15 reps
– Farmers walk: 3 x with dumbells, push yourself to your personal limit by choosing the weight of the dumbells

Before my workout I ate yoghurt, oats, some protein and strawberries. After my workout I ate a wrap with chicken and vegetables and two egg whites. I will tell you more about my eating habits in another post.
